Anime Information Sites

Well, for general information on anime, these are a few good sites to turn to.

The Anime Web Turnpike. Well, duh. This is the site for information and links regarding anime, manga, and its attendant pop culture. No other English-language site can even compare to this one. If you've never seen it, then you've been missing out. © 1995-2000 Jay Fubler Harvey

Anime News Service. Daily updates for the latest in anime news. Includes details on the animation field and its attendant industry on both coasts of the Pacific, and beyond. Want to know the latest acquisitions and the newest rumors? Go here. © 1997-2000 Anime News Service

Hitoshi Doi's Page. The homepage of one of the most celebrated and consummate anime fans in the world, which includes a searchable seiyuu database, as well as synopses of various (mostly shoujo) anime. And they say we're obsessed! © 1994-2000 Hitoshi Doi

Mahou Shoujo Anime Resources. Focusing on magical girl series, from Hana no Ko LunLun to Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne, this site features indepth discussion on the genre and links to pages for the series in question. © 1998-2000 MSAR

CURRENTLY DOWNMasato's Anime-Manga Launchbase. Another large link site, similar to the AniPike in purpose, MAML is based in Germany.

Richard's Animated Divots. This unassumingly named site is home to one of the most extensive banks of anime information written in the English language, including filmographies, timelines, and a list of almost every anime TV series ever made. Quite a piece of work, and evidently done by a full-blown fan of animation, not just anime. © 1999-2000 Richard Llewellyn
