"Never Nine Me".

Allen's back to give us another review for another week, and what he got for us this time is Occultic; Nine, because there are just some days when the Monty Python "Confuse a cat" stageplay makes too much logical sense. He still enjoyed it, though. Mostly.

That's all we got this week for you, but next week it looks like I can throw in another review to go with Allen's next piece. See you all then.

Hero of the People.

Well, we're back... once again with two reviews.

Allen has a bit of fun with To Be Hero as it all goes straight down the toilet. Which is part of the fun, apparently. Yeah, the show went there.

As for me, I was actually looking forward to My Wife is the Student Council President season 2, since season 1 was a... well, a dumb show that nevertheless managed to treat its main subject -- relationships and the potential sexual encounters that come with it -- with a weird amount of respect. Sadly, this season chose to up the "dumb humor" ratio at the expense of something else. Go on! Try to guess what aspect of the show they sacrificed bits and pieces of to fit THAT in. (Nudge nudge, wink wink.)

I guess that means Allen won this week's lottery. Oh well, those who watch and run away live to review another day. Or something like that. See you again next week.

Mobbing the Edge of a Knife.

Just Allen this time. He watched a little something called Mob Psycho 100. According to him, it's a relatively fun show that isn't exactly as it says on the tin, and you should give it a look. Probably.

That's it for this week. Next week, we will have more Allen, and I should be able to have something prepared for you too. Bai bai.

On the other side of the spiritual border.

Hello, everyone. We have two reviews for you today, both of which does go into the concept of bullying happening to people for standing out and being different... in a way.

Allen's pick of the week is Aura: Koga Maryuin's Last War, which takes a rather frank, if not downright brutal, approach to how someone like Chuunibyou's Rikka Takanashi would be treated in real-life Japan... probably.

As for me, I had the pleasure of watching and reviewing Natsume's Book of Friends season 5. The show has had its share of stumbling blocks, but it's always been consistently good, at least, and this latest addition to the franchise is the show at its best.

And there you have it. One pretty good OAV/Movie deal and one excellent TV series. See you again next week.

Play Misery for me...

Well, here we are, at the start of the new year. And here is Allen, ready to start us off on a... mildly creepy foot with his review for Momokuri, a show he found to be OK for the most part, with one rather large caveat. And which one would that be? Well, why don't you head inside and have a look?

That's it for this week. We'll be back next week (barring another host mishap), so I guess it's time to rev up the engine now that the Christmas Chaos is over. See you then.
