Time for the Christmas update, and we got two for you today.

First, Allen gives TsumaSho a look, and he finds it kinda nice. (And thankfully didn't go where he feared it would.)

And secondly, I bring you all the review for the seventh season of Natsume's Book of Friends, which... well, I cheated a bit here -- there is still one episode left -- but does anyone really think the show is going to jump the shark here? No? It's all fine, then. In fact, this show is more than "all fine". Again, no surprise there.

And that's that. We'll be taking next Monday off, so we'll see you all again next year.

So yeah, this one ended up being a day late. Sorry about that; I've been a bit under the weather lately.

Anyway, my pick for this week is Hokkaido Gals are Super Adorable!, which is certainly not false advertising for this show, even if the genre was a bit different than I expected.

Allen watches The Gene of AI from beginning to end, and finds it quite appealing. Turns out that when you really sit down and consider all the good and bad things that robotic beings can experience or even be, you get a compelling show. Who'da thunk it?

I quite happily went straight into watching Tonari no Yokai-san, expecting something along the lines of Natsume's Book of Friends without some of the darker aspects of the latter, and that turned out to be.... not quite the case, as it mixes up Japanese faith/spiritualism with science. And it somehow works. (Even if the ending is more than a little bit bonkers.) But hey, good show. Go watch.
