You and Me and Vito advice you not to go against family.

That's two references (one a bit obscure) for the price of one. I thought that would go well with the fact that we've got two reviews for you this time around. We've been quite busy people these last few weeks.

First off is Allen, who watches You and Me, a show about a bunch of high school boys, and wouldn't you know it; it's a real winner.

Nick, however, is vastly less pleased with Nisekoi, the harem to end all harems, or so one should hope. Or maybe not, as even harem shows have seen some quality releases as of late. But this one is not it.

Next week, we will definitely be back, and with another double deal... as well as another curious divergence in material quality. Must be something in the water. See you later.

Terminally Dandy.

Allen starts off this week with Looking Up at the Half Moon, a tale about idiots in love if the description is anything to go by.

Meanwhile, Nick has some problems trying to peg Space Dandy as anything in particular, before settling on "weird-ass 50's experimental space opera" (not his exact words.) He's apparently (mostly) quite happy with it.

Well, see you again next week. Stay healthy and do not under any circumstance piss off the nurse.

"Dost thou have any coffin pills?"

So yes, we're a bit late with this review. Apologies for that.

At any rate, I'm not sure what to make of Chaika ~the Coffin Princess~, but at least you can't really charge it for false advertising. Mostly. What you can charge it for, however, is throwing a slapdash ending on a really good show. That is a floggin' offence right there.

Well, at least I got an answer to my hypothetical question "Is there a worse thing than a show not getting an end?" I just wish it wasn't "Oh, you have no idea. But you will... soon."

If nothing else, it's not the end of us... yet. We'll see you again next Monday. Hopefully.

Rock 'em Sock 'em Reviewin'.

This week, Allen visits another show made in CG. He's not quite as happy with Straight Title Robot Anime, and not just because of its apparently extremely self-referential name. Possibly. Apparently, someone didn't get the "all's well that ends well" memo.

Oh well...

Next time, we have a review for another show that kind of botched up its ending. Is this a rising trend in anime or something?

I Can't Understand Why Hell Hasn't Frozen Over Yet.

So yeah, Tim watched I can't understand what my husband is saying, a story about an otaku husband and his office-worker wife and probably thought something along the lines of "Well... that was actually kind of sweet". And... yeah, it is. It neither mocks, nor glorifies. It simply is, and is also better for it. Having also watched it (as well as collaborated with Tim on many other reviews), I even got to write a closing paragraph. The show also got a sequel, and given the event that happened at the end of this season, I'm quite curious where it plans on going next.

I said so at the guest closing statement too, didn't I? It's true, though.

Next week, I shall try to aspire to get a long overdue review up. That is, if any of the other writers doesn't throw something in there in the between. See you again.
