For the Love of Notes.

Allen's pick of the week is Tsukigakirei, a short and presumably sweet love story with maybe too many coincidental barriers of love. Or something like that. He was entertained, but not notably impressed with it.

With my pick of the week, Hinako Note, I was neither entertained nor impressed. Thanks to shows like Is the Order a Rabbit?! or even Encouragement of Climb, MOE or pseudo-MOE shows now have a measuring stick they'd have to live up to, and Hinako Note doesn't quite deliver there.

Well, summer is nearing its end, and we all have to prepare to get back into the swing of things again. See you next week.

The Wrassle and the Hassle.

Dallas, who makes a return after a long hiatus, takes care of the hasslin' part with 91 Days, a mob drama he rather enjoyed. The nice part is that it's a mafia drama set in America, and it's seemingly well-researched. Or at least well-written.

Allen steps up on the Wrasslin' side with Tiger Mask W, a show about wrestlers, so you don't get any more literal than that, I guess. He wasn't nearly as impressed with it as Dallas was with his show, but he had fun. And sometimes, when you just want to relax and have fun, you don't want for more.

So twice as much fun this week. Next week, we'll be back once again. Stay with us.

The Moment You Fall in Love With Your Fellow Game Designer

Nicoletta filling in for Stig again, and I've got my first new review in almost a year! It's for New Game!, which is a pretty great show about a bunch of young women working in a gaming company (totally up my alley) with pretty strong yuri overtones (also absolutely up my alley). It just got a sequel this year, so expect a review of that in the near future, too!

Allen didn't get as lucky; he follows up his review of I've Always Liked You with The Moment You Fall in Love...and apparently, he didn't really fall in love with either of the leads. Or like them at all, for that matter. What a bummer.

We'll be back next week with more from Allen and more from somebody else we haven't heard from in quite a while!

SHEEEEEE'S.......BAAAACK

Hey all, Nicoletta here filling in for Stig, and hey, it's been a long time since I've done any updates? Hehehe....yeah, a lot happened in real life and I'd semi-retired for a bit. But I'm getting back in the game, both with some new reviews (one of which we'll have next week!) and some retakes on old reviews, since a lot of them need a makeover ^^;

Two of my older reviews, Wandering Son and The World is Still Beautiful got a bit of a makeover, and changed star ratings: one up for Wandering Son, one down for The World is Still Beautiful, sadly.

I'm much, much happier with this version of the Wandering Son review, myself!

And Allen, ever the workhorse, brings us a review of Kado: The Right Answer, which he says is a good watch for sci-fi fans (props to Allen, he again found a cool show I'd never heard of!!)

That's it for this week, but next week I bring you love and peace....and some fun and games, or maybe not much actual game-playing if you look closely. Stay tuned!

You Can't Keep a Good Book Down.

Last week, I told y'all that I'd like to put up a review for the latest season of one of my personal favorites, and that is just what I'm going to do. This is Natsume's Book of Friends season 6. Season 6! Can you believe it? Well, you better believe that this show is still going strong, and if you don't, head right in and have a read. Then again, if you're with us all up to season 6, it's highly probable that you are well and truly settled in this ship.

Next week, our lovable workaholic has something for you again, because if we have a staff member that can put the Duracell rabbit in its place, Allen would be it.

...that is, if someone can do the update in my place, because I'm going on vacation next week. So if not, it'll be two weeks. See you all later either way.
