Shinohara Mizuki is a student and model living on his own thanks to his big brother. One day on his way home he meets Honjou Kazuomi, a salaryman who has just been kicked out of his living space. Kazuomi spots poor unsuspecting Mizuki and decides to hit on him in the hopes of being taken home and getting a new living space. This actually works, and Kazuomi promptly seduces Mizuki as a way to pay the rent.
There is a category of fanfiction into which this anime fits perfectly - "Plot? What Plot?" Don't look for a plot here. The excuse for one they try to sell you on the back of the box never bothers to show up and interrupt the sex. Come to think of it, the manga didn't have much of a plot either, so one could say the anime is following its source.
That's not to say Level C is an unenjoyable romp. The animation is decent and the leads are certainly pretty boys. This is a hentai show, however, and it doesn't aspire to be anything else. Nor does it bother with things like plausability. What it does have that makes it popular with the yaoi crowd is a lot of sex - really graphic sex too. It's amazing how much sex one can fit into a half an hour. It's fairly formulaic yaoi sex though, and comes off as pointless.
Only because it's meant to be visually appealing and is. Add one star if you've read the manga or are the sort of yaoi fan who likes PWPs. Remove all stars if you don't like yaoi - you shouldn't even think of seeing this. — Teresa Copeland
Recommended Audience: Absolutely not for children. Sex, sex, and a bit more sex, as graphically as Japanese law will allow. No violence. Did I mention it was gay sex? Not appropriate for straight men.
